FAQs

GST questions, answered plainly.

The questions businesses and online sellers ask us most — about registration, multi-state compliance, filings and notices.

  • We handle GST registration and ongoing GST compliance for businesses across India — registration, additional places of business, monthly and annual returns, amendments, cancellations, revocations and notice replies. Our strongest specialisation is GST for e-commerce sellers.

  • Yes. We work with clients across India and currently provide GST services in 24 states. Our office is in Ludhiana, but the service is delivered remotely and nationally.

  • Send an enquiry through the form on this site, message us on WhatsApp, or email us. Tell us what you need and we will confirm what applies to your case and what documents are required.

  • Pricing depends on the service, the number of states involved and the volume of transactions. We quote after understanding the requirement rather than publishing a fixed list.

  • Timelines depend on the department and on whether any clarification is raised on your application. Clean documentation is the single biggest factor in avoiding delay, which is why we review documents before filing.

  • Not always — thresholds depend on the type of supply and the state. However, some situations require registration regardless of turnover, including selling taxable goods through e-commerce marketplaces. We check your specific position before you apply.

  • A residential address can be used as a principal place of business where you have valid proof of the premises and the required consent documentation. We review the documents before filing.

  • Marketplaces generally require a valid GSTIN before you can list taxable goods. The exact requirement depends on the platform and what you sell, so confirm your category before you begin onboarding.

  • Selling to a customer in another state does not by itself require registration there. Storing goods in another state — for example in a fulfilment centre — commonly does. We map your actual requirement based on where stock sits.

  • Marketplaces collect tax at source on supplies made through their platform and report it against your GSTIN. That amount has to be reconciled against your own sales records and claimed correctly in your returns.

  • An Additional Place of Business is a location other than your principal place where business is carried on — for online sellers, usually a fulfilment centre or third-party warehouse holding your stock. It is added to your registration through an amendment.

  • An APOB is added within the state of the registration it belongs to. A warehouse in a different state generally requires a GST registration in that state first, with the warehouse then added there.

  • Yes. A nil return is still required for the period. Skipping it attracts late fees and can block subsequent filings.

  • Yes. We run all of your registrations on one filing calendar with a single point of contact, rather than treating each state separately.

  • Applicability depends on turnover and the category of registration for that financial year. We confirm whether it applies to you, and in what form, before starting the work.

  • Send it to us as soon as you receive it. Notices carry short response deadlines, and the reply usually depends on reconciliation and records rather than argument.

  • Where the department cancelled the registration, revocation may be possible within the timeline allowed, provided the underlying default — usually pending returns and dues — is cured first.

  • The change is reported through an amendment to your registration, supported by proof of the new premises. Changes of state or PAN generally cannot be handled as an amendment and need a fresh registration.
